Let’s talk a little about hooping at home. It’s important that I address it not only for you, but also for me. I’m not doing anyone justice if I don’t completely be honest in an effort to help you and give you my very best tips!

When I used to teach clients solely in a studio, there was plenty of space and mirrors. All seemed OK, then suddenly my client got home only to realize it wasn’t quite the same when they practiced hooping with limited space or other constraints they had where they live. Maybe they live in a tiny apartment. Perhaps they have no room inside their house and the backyard doesn’t have space either. Sometimes they truly have no place at home to hoop and they have to think of alternative ideas for their hoop practice space.

Whatever the reason, please REMEMBER – you need to OWN your hoop space and not make excuses. Home, yard, park, office, gym, church or wherever. Bottom line, you need to get CREATIVE. If you love what you are doing enough with the hoop, you will figure out a way. No embarrassment. No shame.

Having in-person lessons & classes these days at The HoopShack, a residence, our guest home, it allows me to use mirrors in a smaller “studio” located inside, BUT I also take clients outside…to the patio, the backyard…the front driveway, the sidewalk. Sometimes, we even walk with our hoops to a local park. The reason I do all this is to show them the practical side of hooping in REAL LIFE, not just inside of a room, in a gym or studio. THAT is doing my clients much more service than teaching only indoors.

I share SO many more ideas over on my Facebook page. I have years & years worth of videos, some are done in a studio, some are done at my own home, inside our small den. I also hoop next to the pool in our backyard…maybe I’ll go out in my front yard…or I’ll go walk to the parking lot at a nearby school or other location…and I certainly vary my location intentionally, to model for all of you, creative places and ways to include your hoop on the regular, in your day-to-day life.

This month in my INNER CIRCLE, we are talking about building stamina & strength. As with any topics, I always go to my vast library of Facebook videos to get inspiration and motivation. We build more on that in the monthly topic discussions and video training inside my private Facebook group for members only. I’ll share with you here, a video that really applies well to both hooping at home AND building stamina…and notice, I emphasize, no hoop is needed…watch and you’ll see…

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD ME REFER TO MY VIDEOS…even though this was filmed in 2017, I still offer those videos and they’re included in my different membership levels of online training. I even give some of the training to you WITH your new hoop, as to not overwhelm you with TOO much, and you can choose to get more when you feel ready or want to work more closely with me with in private or group coaching.

What I am doing in this video is the same thing you can be learning – moving & doing – while I make your new hoop, too…in fact, I even offer a Hoop Layaway Membership, so you can start getting you body ready for hooping while you make 2 payments on your hoop…yes, training is included! Go check it out HERE

Over time, I have tweaked my training options and I do see my STARTER clients gaining more skills by working with less. Too much information is daunting. So I’m constantly looking at ways to improve. In fact, I’ll be offering a new STARTER Course in the near future, to guide you through my videos.

My private coaching group, my INNER CIRCLE, will be the next step after the new course. The group is closed for awhile, but I will open it up again before this summer.

You can get on the WAITLIST to be notified when the INNER CIRCLE and new STARTER Course are opening… click HERE
