Hi, there! I’d love to work with you, sister…but first, a little something about me…

I started getting healthier, at the age of 47, from the very first day I picked up a hoop! Today, I’m still very passionate about helping make that same thing happen for all women “of a certain age”…aging is inevitable, but growing up is optional! 

After 17 years in business, I have trained well over 1,000 clients how to hoop. During that time, I also worked in corporate wellness/fitness, with local school districts, and with various charitable organizations, businesses & groups.

Since 2020, for the last few years, I was almost entirely an online business, slowing down a bit…I have some health challenges (Vestibular Migraine & PPPD/Anxiety primarily), yet hooping helps me SO much, that I still wanted to focus on serving women, like myself, in midlife – helping them add this joyful, gentle, relaxing movement into their lives. I was making and shipping custom hoops to each client – all over the U.S. – as well as train and mentor these women through my exclusive online instruction, which included a signature course & group coaching membership. 

Today, at 66, I am retired, and still have these chronic health issues…yet I still want to help women locally and continue to make make quality, safe hoops. Fortunately, I’m able to volunteer my time and talents at ACTIV Arlington, our city’s wonderful new recreation center for the 50+ crowd! It is such a blessing to still be able to share what I love with my community! 

A little history….

In 2009, I created aRoundJoy®  in Arlington, TX and also opened The HoopShack® – my original indoor/outdoor concept hooping facility, the first and only one in Texas. It was originally at a warehouse, then it was at an office space. Lastly, my small hoop studio was at our guest house, until 2019. Today, the spirit of “The Shack” (as we lovingly called it) lives on wherever I’m teaching – we hoop together, have fun & feel the joy! I continue to offer handmade custom hoops, plus in-person group hoop training sessions at ACTIV Arlington, for members there.
